The Renosterberg Local Municipality is a Category B municipality located in the Pixley Ka Seme District of the Northern Cape, known as the Karoo region. We are committed to serving our communities in Petrusville, Philipstown, and Van der Kloof.
Our region is rich with history and culture, from the Dutch Reformed Church Museum to the Karoo Battlefields of the Anglo-Boer War. The Vanderkloof Dam attracts tourists for angling and water-related sports, making us one of the most beautiful regions in the Northern Cape.

Strategic Planning Report

Draft IDP 2026/27
The Integrated Development Plan (IDP) of the Renosterberg Local Municipality represents the municipality’s principal strategic planning instrument, guiding development, service delivery, and resource allocation for the 2026/27 financial year and beyond.
Notice of Publication
Notice is hereby given in terms of section 21 and 21A of the Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, and section 22 of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003 that the Renosterberg Municipal Council has adopted the 2026/2027 Draft IDP and Draft Budget on the 31 March 2026.
